Hey Georgia! Cute website! Loved seeing the photos of your kids! You’ll have to tell me all about them sometime! I also saw Naomi’s fabulous quilts! Is that one of hers in your photo?

Hi! I love your website, and I just wanted you to know that I made the super hero cape and my son LOVES, LOVES, LOVES his. Did I mention he LOVES it…. I was interested in trying to make these at our next Super Saturday Enrichment… I thought some of the girls in my ward would like to make them for Christmas presents for their kids. Would that be okay to use your patterns? I also have a pattern for the Wonder Pets if you would like me email it to you. I am working on making a spiderman/superman cape for my nephew.. so I have to find a spider symbol, any ideas? Thanks for your help.

I was looking for directions to make an affordable quick and easy superman cape for my sons first birthday party. I came across your blog and I literally sat and read just about all until the baby woke up screaming…..can I just say thank you. I Laughed I almost peed..lol Its fun to read the blogs of a down to earth mom with such talent. My stressful day was forgotten!! Now comes the question I hope you can help me. My son is turning one on 9/20/08, the fact that he is here is a miracle he was born with severe complex congenital heart defects, he has endured two open heart surgeries already and has to endure more. He is my super baby and my hero hence why this party is so important to me. I must say my budget is low, I cant sew but I know my way around a fabric store and Im crafty. I would love to make superman capes for all the kids can you give me any hints, ideas, tell my what to buy and how much fabric I may need for about 18 kids? any help is so apreciated!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!! if you have a myspace mine is http://www.myspace.com/slynnw11 my regular email is slynnw11@aol.com I hope to hear from you!!

HI. Thanks for sharing your Super Cape tutorial. I was curious if you finished your Super Why costume, and if so what material did you use? I am so very new to sewing and I am trying to figure out how to make a Super Why costume for my son. I went to Joann’s and was totally overwhelmed by my choices.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

I loved your Superhero Cape Tutorial. I ended up making 4 boy, and 2 girl capes. They’re for my nieces and nephews for Christmas. They’ll love it. I was wondering if you had any apron patterns? That’s my next project for the holidays.

    Thanks a ton. Tiffani

Hey, thought I was the only crazy person thinking of sewing a superhero cape for my 4 year old. It is Dec 22 and only 2 days to Christmas… but I’m willing to give it a try. Wish me luck! Did I read you had a spiderman symbol available?

    Thanks!

    Hi Georgia,
I just wanted to let you know I made a total of 30 capes for party favors for my daughters 4th birthday party (batman theme). They were a HUGE hit! The kids loved them and many slept in them that night. Thanks so much for posting the pattern and the tutorial! Thanks for making it so easy.

    Thanks, Ella

p.s. Now I’m thinking of making the reusable sandwich bags for a cute gift for the last day of school.
