Crayon resurrection
October 14th, 2007 by Jorja

I don’t know about you, but we go through crayons and markers like we do toilet paper. I ran across this post about making new crayons out of old broken ones. Go check out Joanna’s shell shaped ones before you start. They’re beautiful! We resurrected most of the little tiny crayons that no one was ever going to use and made these:

I used an old pan I found at a garage sale years ago. I have only used it for muffins and jello so far, but it worked great for these! I’m still trying to figure out how to get it clean, though. I’m guessing the easiest (meaning, least elbow grease) way will be to heat it up and wipe out the excess wax with a paper towel.

I’m off to work on a Super Why! costume.

Those are so cool and colorful, I bet the kids loved them! Thats a neat idea, we go thru a lot of crayons too. My oldest son loves to take the paper off and he wont color with the ones that still have paper…kids are so silly..thanks for sharing the crayon idea.
