Last day of NaBloPoMo! YAY!

I received my Swap package from Staci when we got home from our trip. She went all out!

The chocolate is….ahem…..gone. I’m excited to use the fabric to make some stockings for Joseph (who hasn’t had one for two years) and Juliet (her first Christmas!), among other things. I don’t know about you, but I have too many projects. I want to make everything from Sew, Mama, Sew’s Handmade Holidays, but alas, don’t have enough time. Or energy. I still haven’t cleaned my kitchen. Who needs clean dishes? I mean, really? What are paper plates for anyway?

Phht.

But! We did buy our tree!

We thought we were picking a pretty small one, but it fits perfectly into the infinitesimal spot we had for it.

Have you ever heard of futureme.org? You can write a letter to your future self and the site sends it to you a few months later. I think I would like to do this on days that are really hard, or maybe I should do it on days that are really fantastic. At any rate, I have written a list of things that I did today. Because I’m super important and everyone cares.

1. Fed Juliet twice in the wee hours (she’s about to break a tooth, poor sweetie).
2. Woke up and fed Catherine and Joseph Christmas Cap’n Crunch.
3. Finally felt like it was Christmas.
4. Bathed myself and everyone else.
5. Got everyone dressed except for Juliet (who was still asleep).
6. Searched for Catherine’s new Hello Kitty backpack and was unsuccessful.
7. Sent a sulking Catherine out the door for school.
8. Put shoes and socks on the boys and myself.
9. Ran out the door to take Seth to gymnastics.
10. Drove three blocks and went back for my cell phone.
11. Fed Juliet while watching Seth’s gymnastics class.
12. Went to Good Earth and bought:

• buffalo jerky
• Fenugreek (because I left it in Texas)
• all natural juice-sweetened soda by Hansen’s
• seasoned pumpkin seeds
• pink yogurt pretzels for Seth
• juice freezer pops (didn’t want to fight Seth about these)

13. Went to the French Bakery and bought sourdough bread and a baguette.
14. Went to Catherine’s school to pick her up.
15. Cleaned out the disgusting van while waiting for Catherine.
16. Tuned in to the Christmas radio station.
15. 10 minutes later turned Muse back on.
16. Made lunch.
17. Answered some emails for work stuff.
18. Read Real Simple and Martha Stewart Living holiday editions instead of cleaning the kitchen.
19. Ate one chocolate chip cookie.
20. Unpacked the last suitcase.
21. Cleaned the living room with DH.
22. Realized we didn’t have enough time to go get our Christmas tree before Cub Scouts.
23. Tried to get out of Cub Scouts.
24. Failed.
25. Went to Cub Scouts.
26. Came home and put the kids to bed.
27. Went to friend’s house for monthly girly dinner.
28. Brought pumpkin pie home for Seth, who realized on the way home from Texas that he didn’t eat any pumpkin pie during Thanksgiving.
29. Sat with DH on the couch while he played on the computer.
30. Realized I needed to post on my blog.

There you have it. Are you asleep yet? I am. Maybe tomorrow we can get our tree.
